They had a total of (3) airwolf helicopters in the inventory for the show. I know 1 of them did crash, and 1 crashed during a taping of the show (but was not one of the airwolf helicopters) while attempting a stunt. So where the remaining 2? Anyone's guess..

It blew my mind how Airwolf fell out of the back of the plane! I guess the electric motors in the landing-gear wheels were actually used in an episode!

After the show was canceled, it was stripped of its Airwolf parts and sold to a German medevac company. It crashed after being hit by lightning on the way to the hospital with a 5-year-old girl. All 3 died.

The show would not have been canceled for season 4 from CBS if JMV wasn't an alcoholic. They cited costs as a reason, but even through season 3, the show consistently won its timeslot and got high ratings. The word is that JMV showed up for work drunk and you can see that in some S3 episodes.

actually i think the "mig" is a f-84 painted in russian a.f markings. the airplane that blows up is a f 100. and did you get that homer "doh!" as the c 130 gets it? lol.

At 330 the first jet is a mig 15 and the following jet is a f-86 sabre you can see the Air Force logo on the back left of the fuselage.
