I do think that nine is too old, but, there are studies being done that breastfeeding should continue until the milk teeth fall out, which is around 7. Most children self wean at around 3 or so. Did you ask her if she was weaning him? Oh, and if you look up some countries in Africa, the people there look down on us here in America for our sexualization of the breast. I feel sorry for the child whose parent decides to wean them when they start getting teeth,some babies get teeth at 5 months.
