    Thank you, thank you! It is refreshing to see a physician speaking about this issue in a logical, rational manner! As a midwife, who also often works as a doula for hospital-birthing women, I see this all the time. What's the rush? There are so many important benefits in allowing for full placental profusion before cord clamping. It is so infuriating to see OBs clamping immediately after the birth!
