the comments that are made about the Hyo are crap, I have owned one for 2 yrs from new. I have own'd a number of bikes all makes and the hyo is the best by far. I use this every day, to go back and forth to work in all weather cond's and still look great. It still turn's heads !!! I have never had any problems with it at all. As for not being put together very Well??? that is crap as Hyo company make part's for suzuki, DONT trust this review its CRAP.

  • hyosung did not ...

hyosung did not make bikes for Suzuki they made exterior parts for the engine and body. Like brackets and abs body molds. Hyosung never made actual engine mechanical parts for Suzuki. Name one Suzuki bike engine that was made in Korea!! (there aren't any!) Compare the engine of a Hyo GV650 to Suzuki sv650 and they look nothing alike!

  • Well I'd just like ...

Well I'd just like to say I'm a Kawasaki fan but looked at both these bike for commuting I do a 50 mile round trip each day in all weather. After watching the vid I'd just like to say the comments made at the end are total crap, I opted for the Hyo it's much more comfortable to ride the Ninja is just to small. The Hyo's been out all weather has never let me down used daily and still looks as good as the day I picked it up from the dealer, sorry MCN you know now't the Hyo's miles better.

Well after watchin the vid and reading the comments left.. i think i,ll be opting for the Kawasaki Ninja 250 R.. nothing against the HYSO, i just like the look of the Kwaker and when i purchased one next year it,ll be in for a proper test ride as im going to watch the GP at Muggello and getting there via the Ninja 250 going through France over the Alps into Italy, then back over the Alps into Switzerland via the Stabilio Pass before back into France then home...

  • What he was saying ...

What he was saying about the Hyosung at the end is pretty much crap, i have the 125 version which is basically the same thing with a 125 engine and i use it every day in rain or sun to go to college on (about 16 miles a day) and i have had no problems at all with build quality or reliability and mine is 2005 so not even new.

  • Complete illogical ...

Complete illogical BS. First Hyo sells motorcycles all over the world. They sell millions of units world wide. Second your argument has yet to prove anything. In fact it does not factor in the fact that a bad dealer can improperly setup a motorcycle and cause issues for the future owner down the road. Add in shady dealers who try to avoid claims and then you have most of the problems people are talking about in regards to Hyo's. Also Hyo built Suzuki bikes before they went on their own.

  • To add to what ...

To add to what Psechi said...The GT250r like any motorcycle is dependent on a good dealer properly prepping the bike before sale. Here's a shocker for you motorcycle n00bs. In the motorcycle world dealers actually have to assemble the motorcycle when it arrives to their lot. So if you have a shady dealer and stupid mechanics who do not prep a bike correctly they will end up causing problems to the potential owners. Most issues with motorcycles that occur after purchase are due to bad bike prep.

benplay -> I dont have any problems with my GTR... The reliability is cool and the bike is very strong... Is really just a rumuour like you said. The truth is that the bike is a success but some persons, that dont know it, speak without any data about it.

  • Korea has to suffer ...

Korea has to suffer with more expats from the UK and US than the UK and US have to suffer with Korean expats. There are loads of foreigners here. I should know, I'm one hehe.

  • You're right, they ...

You're right, they shouldn't. One problem is Korea is way drier than the UK, so what is acceptable here is not there. Still, if they are selling it in England, it should be able to put up with the weather conditions. They used to machine Suzuki's parts, then they started building their own bikes using, as you said, Suzuki's plans, hence the naked Comets look so much like Bandits.
