And I didn't mean that antidepressants aren't used too; I was just adding stimulants to the list.

What about stimulants? I don't know who brought up antidepressants, but I'm aware of the use of amphetamines on narcoleptic patients. And btw, antidepressants aren't necessarily just for "depression". People with eating disorders or even just obsessive compulsive disorder take them.

And using drugs on animals is common practice. How do you think drugs for humans are tested?

Narcolepsy isn't painful, and certainly no reason to put a dog to sleep. Are you saying people with narcolepsy should be killed as well?
And even if they did put their dog to sleep i doubt that they'd give money to third world countries anyways.

im an idiot for caring about the dog? ive taken antidepressants, they were awful and disorientating, for a dog, it would be hell. without the whole voice and ability to communicate thing alongside. you dont think its funny they give antidepressants to people for anything from attention disorders to stress to ocd, and now narcoleptic dogs.. i WAS the 'frickin research' honeybun

Animals like this should be put down. It's just cruel keeping them alive for the sake of your own connection to them. It's not a human being, it's in pain all the time and we can't cure it.

Let that dog go and spend the money elsewhere. People die to war, famine, poverty and diseases that are extinct in the western part of the world every day.

we all know its a brain disorder but its an animals brain, not a humans. These anit-depressants for humans will not be good for the dog what so ever. How do you know that is depressed for a start? Research on humans have been done but not on Animals yet apart from this little guy who is being treated like a guinea pig, that might end up dieing with the human tablets being given to him.

u idiot its a brain disorder where when u get to emotional u fall asleep it happens to humans too. so before u start putting down people and their pets, do some fricking research.
