The Santa Barbara fire department, assisted by air support, battled a wildfire that burned approximately 200 acres in the San Roque Canyon / Mission Canyon area. About 1200 0f 2000 threatened homes were evacuated, no structures lost as at the time of this posting. Firefighters were aided by calm winds throughout Tuesday night and Wednesday day, but high winds were forecast for Wednesday evening. Cause of the fire was unknown. No injuries reported.
