The joy of manure - how to get it, use it and spread it about!
Third in a series featuring my two allotments.
They don't use it over here, not in the stables I get it from anyway. It's mainly straw and a small amount of wood chip, but it's so well rotted that the wood chip is no problem.

Great enthusiasm Claire...keep up the good work!!
From an avid gardener who thoroughly enjoys his allotment.....
i put manure in an area last year and then lifted an area into a mound but on total width of the garden, i put swede, turnip seeds into the top of the mounds and they have been fantastic this year. this way has been past down from the war years and i'm glad its still working, good ways are the best.
By rustler69 [Affiliate User] 1226263159Wow!! Rhubarb leaves are a great source of plant food as well. Put them in a bucket with water, they smell a lot but it's well worth it.
