statements 'saying' tigers are larger isn`t really proof....it needs to be supported with evidence, which i find very little of.

it try to find a list of animals weighed in the wild, and compare notes. most of the time, a scientists knowledge is based on that which he has learned from books or even his own studies....which may be limited.

He is doing thing for good tv, and for fame. The tigers are not released, they didn't hunt that porcupine, the porcupine was put in their cage so that they get quails all over their body for this scene. I have evidence to prove what i am saying.

Wrong, accorrding to Dale, Siberian Tigers average at least 430lbs currently. Lions on the other hand average around 181kg. next even Brander says Tigers are heavier than lions.

dave made such a statement based on outlandish claims, but not his own measurements. i could show you sources mentioning the weights of both captive and wild lions and tigers, if you want. tigers are no bigger than lions.

according to dale, the average siberian weighs close to 400 lbs. guggisberg reports a average of 190 kg for bengals...190 kg reported for kruger lions, and packer says lions of the ngorongoro crater weigh over 200 kg.

There's no need for debate, any expert would tell you that Tigers are bigger than lions, you are the only guy on Earth who overestimate yourself and think everything you said is right. Even Dave Salmoni says that Tigers are heavier than lions in captivity. There is no debate at all in terms of captive animals. And in terms of wild animals, only the crater lion can be compared to an average indian tiger but they aren't the same league as a northen bengal. Loser!

io already emailed craig packer, and he said that the chest girth he provided from ngorongoro lions were as large as those of siberians, and then he goes on to say that tigers with a similarly rich diet may well be larger....but this is only speculation.

a tiger`s jaw strength has never been measured. that chart on bfq was merely estimates, not an actual study.

Email Craig Packer or any expert you know. Even experts who favor the lion like Dave Salmoni says that tigers have a stronger bite force, and i am saying bfq not canine bf. It is a known fact that clyde beatty mentions that his lions are larger than his tigers while seems to be weird since Tigers are in general larger than lions in captivity so i am not surprised that his lions defeat his tigers since his tigers is small and size advantage is very important.

i`m not saying that the tigers never defeated the lions, just that he never mentioned this in that particular book. but he also stated that sultan was the most powerful animal he came across, and he said this animal defeated every one of his tigers.

tigers do NOT have a more powerful bite force. tigers jaws are shorter, so they may have a stronger bite at the canines, where the teeth is longer. however, the most force comes from the carnassials, the size of which being directly related to the size of the jaws, which is bigger in lions. bigger teeth means there`s greater surface area to bite from.

also, lions have proportionately longer jaws, which means they have more room(at the back of skull) for muscle developement.

The point is that did that study try to measure the bite force of a tiger? If i remember correctly, the study did not even mention about the tiger, unless it mentions both the tiger and the lion or else how could you make comparison from different sourceS?
