2006 MayTag Washing Machine Washes with Fabric Softener

Somebody probably stuck their arm in while it was agitating and got it caught somehow.
It's too bad that they have to overkill on safety because there are people who can't make good judgements.

On the maytag new top loader with super capity is well some have 8 cycles n 4 spin speeds also if use just reg cycle are heavy only spin rinse is that for Perm.press cycle is 2 spin rinse out no need for add on another rinxe out again ....works fine

I think whirlpool got sued a while back, so all washer companies make it where the machine wont agitate with the lid open. Any of them made from 2005 on up wont do it.

Well, we have a Kenmore, and it still agitates with the lid open.
Besides, I have to see a video of a newer model Kenmore/Whirlpool before I can believe it.

Nice off balance load u had huh....lol...i had the 2007 one in powdersprings before mov e away for health n get better in new area be less trouble....I love it when spin water out....since on cememt floor it never walk at all...maytag is great in front loaders also..

That's the reason why I like the Kenmore/Whirlpool models. Because (although they do stop during the drain and spin cycles) at least they continue to agitate if you open the lid.

I just stick a pen in the button. That is how I do it.
