The Tiananmen Square protests of 1989, also known as the Tiananmen Square Massacre and the June 4th Incident, or colloquially, Six-four (Chinese: å…å››) by the Chinese public, and as the Political Turmoil between Spring and Summer of 1989 by the government of the People's Republic of China, were a series of demonstrations led by students, intellectuals and labour activists in the People's Republic of China between April 15, 1989 and June 4, 1989.
i'm not merely posting biased S**t here but we are just unaware of a very possible CIA appearance in China at the moment. isn't that what CIA's good at? overthrowing foreign governments and instigating "revolution"? this kind of incident could have happened any where in the world, even in western democratic countries, it's just the nature of all governments.
By schen297 [Affiliate User] 1225081411student ran over by a tank?! what a joke. did you see the whole vid? that's a lie. the fact is that the tank driver did everything to avoid hitting the mob.
By schen297 [Affiliate User] 1225080994This was all a long time ago. These are not people traveling the world and spoiling for a fight. If the students want to avoid conflick they could have gone home, nobody forced them to stay there. It's a bit different when a foreign force is bombing, and invading your country though. If you bleeding heart hypocrites, are looking for a cause, you should look to what's happpening in Iraq and Afghanistan

By forum2cracka [Affiliate User] 1224954369This makes me so sad.
By rmcdowell64 [Affiliate User] 1224713814What the government did was wrong and everyone knows it. How could they let the shootin of unarmed civilians just go. it was their own people for heavens sake!!!
By Iamcompletemetalhead [Affiliate User] 1224685919Tiananmen Square is a tragic period between 4/15 to 6/4/1989 when the labour party, student for Democracy, and intellectuals of the day were fired on by their own government.
I began a deep mistrust of the government of China. Then we have seen in 2008 the savage treatment of Buddahist Monks in Tibet (Part of China) yet talk to business bozos across the world... it is like these things never happen because it is all about money... I feel nauseous.
the truth is, they haven't
By xXDat1GuyXx [Affiliate User] 1224496779Well, back then, they really wanted a change.
Plus, there were labour representatives too at the protest. The students wanted a voice in the government and the workers wanted better labour laws.
this was very moving footage from the front lines...
By arasurabe [Affiliate User] 1224393856Did any of the protestors have arms? Did any have anything that will cause mass distress (meaning: knives and the like? bombs made of chemicals that will explode. Molotov?) I ignore this only because we only see a student being ran over by a tank. Yet, I have not seen such a thing.
By neutrigem [Affiliate User] 1224368631i was discussing this yesterday with kate adie, the reporter on this video.
it's horrendous that the government will still not openly say that this tragedy occurred, that their army was shooting and killing their own people.
You are talking about a bunch of university students who thought soldiers wouldn't have dare to fire one shot who were at the time armed with AK-47, backed up with armor vehicles and tanks.
By zyxy2k [Affiliate User] 1224239746Did they never heard of:
RUBBER BULLETS?!
WATER CANNONS?!
TEAR GAS?!
SHOOTING UNARMED CIVILIANS IS WRONG?!
It's not forgotten, but rather "suppressed" from public.
Many know of the massacre but speaking of it openly results in prosecution.
