http://MagnetNerd.com I decided to have a go at designing a permanent magnet motor, not to save the Earth or make a zillion dollars, but to study the so called "Gates" that keeps hundreds of thousands of free energy attempts from being successful. I started with a 5 1/4" by 3/4" thick oak disk. I drilled 2 banks of eight 3/8" holes. In each bank I started with the shallowest hole and drilled the next one 1/16" deeper than the previous hole. The 2 banks of magnets keeps the unit balanced. In these 16 holes I set 3/8" dia by 1" thick Neodymium Magnets. All of these NIBs have north poles facing out. Then I set another 3/8" dia by 1" thick cylinder in a cradle with the North Pole facing out. There is a skateboard ball bearing at the axle. Since I don't want to permanently glue 17 nice NIBs in it so I am using a layer of paper towel to force-fit the magnets snugly in place. It worked just as I expected. The 2 "Gates" are definitely there, but they can be overcome simply by rocking the pushing magnet a little. What would it take to make this design work? First you would have to design a mechanism to rock the pusher twice per revolution. Second, a portion, but not all, of the rotational energy would have to convert to mechanical energy to rock the pushing NIB. Enough rotational energy would have to be left to rotate the disk beyond the gate location where the pusher would drop down and accelerate the disk for 1/3 of a rotation before being rocked again for the 2nd "Gate". Is there enough rotational energy to lift the pusher twice for each revolution? Hell No! Still it was a fun little afternoon project and it is neat to keep it spinning by manually rocking the pusher. But I didn't achieve overunity nor save mankind in a single afternoon. Check out the website.

  • Rob... Please do ...

Rob... Please do not be discouraged by the naysayers. I applaud your approach and use of the Scientific Method and can see how others will keep berating you until you give up. Your very methodology and inquisitive nature will yeild results if you keep on the course. It takes time, but all real science does. Don't let them get to you. Remember the supposed science experts once said that the Sun revolved around the Earth. Where would you be if everyone had simply followed the norms of the time?

  • What would be the ...

What would be the fun of that? Think of it as a real simple Rube Goldburg device. At this moment I just happen to be researching John Christie's fraudulent claims with his devise. I can't believe how many idiots think that the Aussy is going to save the earth and power a house for only $4000. What he's doing is criminal. What I'm doing is having fun.

I have read living in the desert and to much heat exposure can cause brain dammage. Thank god you were at a deficet before. Anyone that gets out and tries somthing different is on the right path. Those who denounce everything are not.

"Why move 1 magnet using 16 when I can move 16 magnets using 1? I guess I didn't read the rules."

Why not just spin the wheel with your hand?

  • "i think its not ...

"i think its not free. how about easy energy?"

100% of the energy used to make the rotor spin in this video is coming from the person's hand. How is that "easy energy?" The toy is 100% powered by what the guy ate for breakfast.

  • The title of the ...

The title of the video says "Free energy study." Doesn't that make you a nut? Seriously, I'm not being deliberately insulting---- it is just that only nuts believe in "free energy."

Its a cute little magnet go-around thing. Nothing more, nothing less. It is a toy.

By the way, I enjoy your comments on magnet motors. I just would appreciate it if you don't classify me with the crackpots.

Well why dont you move your magnets a little closer and make a face cam on the wheel with a conecting arm to the one your moving up and down and you will have a neet little toy.
