The core decks are good and alot of them come with 1 basic color or land. I bought a black core deck and i have never played befor (this was about 3 years ago) i am now running the same cards in the black core deck i got in my deck i got today. I think for beginers i think blue is good.

  • I quite liked this ...

I quite liked this video series, particularly this one. It was great to see information on what the theme decks are centred around.

I wouldn't mind playing but I think unless i can find someone to play with me regularly it'd be kinda lame. Also, isn't it expensive to keep buying cards?

  • Forcing an opponent ...

Forcing an opponent to sacrifice a creature (Example: Diabolic Edict). Lowering it's maximum toughness to 0 or less (Example: Enfeeblement). These four effects bypass the indestructable rules on creatures.

  • Anything that says ...

Anything that says destroy or does damage will not kill an "indestructable" creature. Regardless of the color or if it is an artifact or not. "Bury" and "destroy" mean the same thing, bury is just the old term. However, there are still ways to be rid of them. "Remove from game" effects will work.(Example: Oblivion Ring). Cards that force a creature to return to your opponents hand or deck will remove it until the card is played again(Example: Boomerang).
