  • dude i dont think ...

dude i dont think ur listening to him. You cant deny that gary plays faster and cleaner and less sloppy than hendrix. Hendrix i believe is more soulful therefore is solos are better but not technically get it? does someone need to explain it again?

  • btw, i did not ...

btw, i did not watch this video, just passing through. but i did not watch it because i know what to expect from Moore, and while i wish him the best and am happy that he has fun and i may even steal a lick, he doesn't excite me all.

it's like he tries too hard and it's boring... sans soul.

  • he said it himself? ...

he said it himself? ok, i have great technique, in fact, i have the best technique.

in other words, your definition of "technique" is lacking... to say the least.

music is about communication, it's a language, period.

  • my friend, you seem ...

my friend, you seem to think im here to argue with you.

playing faster and cleaner IS in itself an example of better technique. i never said that gary has better or more abilites than hendrix; only that he was a better "shredder" as for hendrix having poor technique (note wise)is true. he said it himself in an interview.

i agree with your praise of hendrix and once again i agree with your mention of machine gun. however, i dont agree with your argument because it makes little sense.

  • No I did not.... I ...

    No I did not....
I just replied on your stupid comment of you saying that Hendrix had poor tehnique, which is false
Yes Gary can play fast and clean, but better tehnically that Hendrix?
    No.
Hendrix had great tehnicall skills and abilities (way higher and better than Gary's)...
Hendrix's solos are claimed to be one of the very best of all times, same for his riffs, etc...
He is a father of guitar playing and tehniques...
    Machine Gun says it all..
    Best guitar performance ever!

  • unfortunately you ...

unfortunately you took my comments as negative towards hendrix. i am a lifelong hendrix fan and will be for the rest of my life.

these terms that you use do not apply to my previous comment. i mean that gary moore simply has a greater ability to play licks faster and cleaner than hendrix could.

and ive heard machine gun, in all of its forms, many many times, so do not insult my intelligence, if you please.

  • Poor tehnique? You ...

    Poor tehnique?
You obviously never heard of his use of the wah-wah, wahmmy bar, feedback, sustain, rhythm tehniques, etc.. and many other guitar tehniques and stuff he experimented with and what he used (and with what he came up with), cause don't forget, he is not only the best guitar player of all times. He is the most creative, most influential and most inovative ever.
Nothing beats and nothing compares to Hendrix.
Listen to Machine Gun from him.
Best live guitar performance of all times.

  • I respect your ...

I respect your opinion. But i think that Hendrix is the best guitarist ever, even if you say he had a poor technique. But any man thinks different, so...rock on!
