I think I understand where you're going with that, but that would be a really good long discussion. Actually, I just had a discussion at work about the overruling that allows same sex marriages in California. Not so much about partners and having legal matrimony, but more so about them being equally capable in raising their own families and being equally respected cogs of civil society :)
