David Bowie - Heroes @ Concert For New York City

it is all a matter of taste but my cousin who who lives in NYC said she wept at this and was the highlight for her and her family.

Sir Paul stole the show.

"Let It Be" was the most moving performance, and the most fitting considering WHY they were there.


NEVER FORGET 9/11 or the people who lost their lives not only on that day, but in response to that day.

There R a lot of versions of this song, but in at this age, at this performance, he is just so lovely + professional. U can sense his compassion and tender/strong side. He definitely gets better w/age + I'm sure Iman has a lot to do with it. He sounds so strong and loving.

Yes the WHO played like it was just any ordinary rock gig but played well. Not the best given the whole meaning of the day

It's so diffucult to articulate the concert for New York tapes...as you can see,the ladies and gentlemen in the audience,are most likely still in shock. And the tallent of these performers/ARTISTS is really digging deep down inside,to help these heroes and others to make their way back to the surface,to breath again.....

I remember how raw I felt during those weeks and months following 9/11. It just went on and on and on. I was 31 and living on the west coast. Such a great concert. Thanks for sharing.

I agree the Who stole the show, but Bowie really kicked it off. You can see the faces of these folks as they realize, "Hey, he' singing about us." I love this performance.
