On saturday the 22nd of December 2007 the Netherlands were covered in a magical frozen mist. It had been Misty and white all week. But this was the first and only day the mist had cleared to be replaced by a beautiful and endless blue sky, only to reveal a surreal winter wonderland.

On that majestic Saturday we had to pay our final respects to a wonderful person for the last time. Now in our family we don't really believe in coincidences. Strange yet heartwarming things have happened in the past and this moment felt like one of those famous family stories.

A week before Frans de Wijs passed away he and his sister were playing ' I'm dreaming of a white Christmas'* on their pianos. Yvonne in the house you see in the movie and Frans at his house in Loosdrecht. Yvonne loves snow with an incredibly passionate love. So each year she all she really wants for Christmas is snow.

Well, two days before the funeral, it started to get misty. And the strange thing is. Although everywhere you looked you could see frozen mist, there was only one small area were there was actually snow. In a circle of a few hundred meters surrounding Yvonne's house there was snow!

A while ago we recorded 'Misty' with Frans in that same house Yvonne's new piano. So now is the time to combine the two. A beautifully played tune with incredible images of a little pre-Christmas miracle we believe not to be a coincidence.

Enjoy

Heel mooi gedaan. Dezelfde "mood", maar met een eigen stijl. Dat zou Garner goed gedaan hebben!

It`s sad to read that he passed away. Very nice homage with his excellent playing of Garners greatest hit to this multi-talented man.
