Michael Phelps broke a second world record in 24 hours to collect his third gold medal at the world swimming championships on Wednesday. The American won the 200-meter butterfly final in a time of one minute, 52.09 seconds to wipe a massive 1.62 off the previous record of 1:53.71 -- which he set in Columbia, Missouri last month.     Phelps is the greatest swimmer we have ever seen! He wrestled that title from the great Ian Thorpe.

    I think it will be a long time before someone surpasses this man...he is something else. I just wish he was British, we could do with him!

    phelps is so fast coming back because of his genetics. They did a test and found that his body gets rid of lactic acid build up very quickly. So he doesn't feel as much of a burn as other swimmers after the first 100 or 150.
