    I am forced to agree.

    Although Apple does make lots of great things and is an example of how an American company can create great, desirable products of high quality, Apple does tend to have a bad habit of putting design over practical function.

    As you say, the battery is a consumable part that will wear out well before the product's serviceable life is used up.

    Apple could've easily engineered a way to replace the battery easily without compromising the design yet they chose not to do so.

    Agreed, i also hate the way Apple releases products that are missing basic features that they SHOULD have come with. (iphone doesn't have voice dial) Then they release an "upgraded" version a month after everyone bought the first one. They should just make a solid product right off the bat.

    I find it to be really RETARDED that you need a Soldering iron to replace your battery in your iPhone, iPOD touch or Macbook Air. It's not like a battery is a service part, it is a CONSUMABLE part.

    I hate how Apple does STUPID lock-downs of their product.
