Let's be serious here: Cousins did'nt play for 12 weeks because he was in no fit state to play. The "suspension" placed on his by the Eagles was only made because Cousins' health and fitness was absolutely shot. He should have been disciplined far earlier. And yes, Collingwood's handling of issues has also been disgraceful. I feel bad saying it, but lately West Coast and Collingwood have been giving the game a bad name.

When I say "scot free" I'm referring to the almost complete lack of punishment from the club and the AFL. As for punishment by the law, Cousins has been involved with several drunken escapades, and has been linked to underworld figures. And also, I'm surprised Cousins and Kerr weren't charged with assault after their brawl in 2002. Bottom line: West Coast has refused to suspend him, despite several incidents AFTER he was told he had received his "last warning."

In relation to potentially losing his Brownlow, Cousins' off-field indiscretions should not be brought into the equation. However, the potential performance enhancement that Cousins may have experienced from his drug habits is significant and needs to be looked at. Where his off-field indiscretions are concerned, Cousins has been involved with SO many incidents and is now revealed to have had a drug addiction. The fact that he has been able to get off SCOT FREE is ridiculous.

WELL SAID KILBOT. Everyone should stop worshipping Judd, and Cousins and Kerr should be booted out of the game for their drug habits WHEN THEY WERE PLAYING IN A PREMIERSHIP SIDE AND COUSINS WON A BROWNLOW. Any other sport, Cousins' Brownlow would be taken off him, and maybe even the eagles' premiership. Boot out all the many other West Coast druggos as well.
