Billy J Kramer does a re-make of his 1960s #1 worldwide chart hit, and has a UK top 10 hit with it all over again in 1976. Arrows lead singer Alan Merrill introduces Billy J Kramer in this clip.
Interesting trivia: The proud new father named Mike Montgomery that Arrows Alan Merrill reads out the song dedication to is in fact the keyboard player of guitarist Paul Kossoff's band Backstreet Crawler, a good friend of Alan's.

This is Billy J. in a good time because the live vocal is quite good and he has still got stage presence, but I do prefer his original everything with the Dakotas.

This looks more like John Walker than Billy J. What is up with that hairdo? He kind of resembles some porno star or else Tom Jones.
I prefer the old original Billy J. greasy hair and pompodor. Nowdays he looks like he has gained alot of weight. Like I said, give me the original anyday.

It's not the teeth that bother me...it's the hair! He had a cool quiff in the sixties, but that doesn't look natural to me at his age. A syrup, surely?

This is originally a very good song - and the contemporary version and video are classics. Billy J's hairstyle and teeth on this clip don't do reflect well on the original.
