Running on the Field: Braves Rain Delay Slip 'n Slide

relax people it was during a rain delay and they were just having drunk fun..

Well I understand their being on the road is awful after this but I was being optimistic I guess in thinking they had a sober driver. I was referring to the kids parks. My point is when nothing else is going on what else do you expect? People are there to have fun and after a while you make your own fun. He didn't hurt the field, he just made himself into an ass and we are the beneficiaries. I hate that for your injury though, I would never excuse anyone for those actions whatsoever

You must think I am uptight about this or am like some baptist moron who thinks everyone who drinks goes to hell or something like that.. Totally not true.
I was hit by a drunk driver on my way home after a ballgame (same place he came from). Took me 4-5 months to get my back realigned because some guy has nothing better to do than to sit at a game and get drink himself stupid.
He's still paying for it today, 2 years later. My rehab is on his tab, and I'm sure he'd rethink his actions now.

It's not about drunk retards either. Any excuse to defend this is pathetic. The field is for the players. If you are too stupid to comprehend that, don't go to the games.
I never said the game was for the kids. I implied that kids are at the game. And no, I've been there, and they don't have designated seating for children. Just kid's parks.
You may think this is funny, but you have to hit the road with these guys when the game is over.

Fantastic. I love a good Braves fan with heart. And to halftimesportscards, the game isn't about kids, it's about the game. You don't like it, watch from tv. There are sections of the park built for kids. Hang out there

So I am guessing you think that's along the same lines as a slandering drunk who you may encounter on the road that night anyways, teaching little Timmy (yes I said that) some new words to take to school with him tomorrow because he's deliberately entered the realm of irresponsibility.
It's funny how we try to set examples for them, but we end up looking like idiots and pointing fingers at them in the process because "they do it too."
At least these guys had designated drivers that night.

This is why alcohol shouldn't be sold in ballparks. Even though it provides humor (like here), it really becomes obnoxious and irritating for those who bring their children or loved ones to the game. Plus, it makes you do stupid things that may end up costing you much more in the end.
