What happens when a person is filled with great zeal for God, but worships the wrong God not the God of the Bible, but one created by a man?

In Islam, to shun the tenants taught by Islam's god Allah through the prophet Muhammad is to commit blasphemy. Even worse, to convert to another religion would make one worthy of death. And, to not put to death an infidel (kafir) is to sin in the sight of Allah. This is what Muhammad taught:

"If anyone desires a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him." (Surah 3:85)
"Size them and slay them wherever you find them; and in any case take no friend or helpers from their ranks." (Surah 4:89)
"For the Unbelievers are open enemies to you." (Surah 4:101)
"For the Unbelievers, Allah has prepared a humiliating punishment." (Surah 4:102)
"I will instill terror into the hearts of the unbelievers, smite ye above the necks and smite all their fingertips of them. It is not you who slew them; it was Allah." (Surah 8:13-17)
"Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the last day." (Surah 9:29)
"Mohammed said: Whoever changes his Islamic religion, kill him." (Hadith 9:57)

When someone follows not the teachings of the one true God, but the teachings of man, or more to the point the doctrines of demons (1 Timothy 4:1), then their zeal destroys the very family they should be loving and protecting and does nothing more for them in the sight of God but to condemn them. God says in Jeremiah 19:5, "They have built the high places of Baal to burn their sons in the fire as offerings to Baal—something I did not command or mention, nor did it enter my mind." The Apostle Paul explains this errant behavior in Romans 10:2, "For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge."

If only such zeal was directed by not what false prophets teach, but by the knowledge of what the Son of God teaches, such as:

"You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you." (Matthew 5:43-44 NIV)

"If he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times comes back to you and says, 'I repent,' forgive him." (Luke 17:4 NIV)

"Jesus said, 'Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.'" (Matthew 19:14 NIV)
