In CS2 I used my arrows to go up and down the modus in the layer pallete. Now this is no longer possible? The same goes for fonttype. Does any one know? ( I use MAC)

i just bought a dell and put this on it and it crashed for some reason i dont know why, it was a brand new computer, before it crashed it wouldnt even open any program so i brought it back and got a mac a week later and it works wonderfully on my mac book pro

Hey I got Photoshop CS3 (on Windows XP). Does anyone know what key I should press to get those palettes to "toggle" away. In the Mac I think he said it was "shift" key, tried that on the PC doesn't work. Does anyone know ;)?

I just got this today. I love the vanishing point upgrade (planes don't have to intersect at 90 degrees anymore). So far, it seems more functional, and it probably is.

On another level, even Macintoshes had to, somewhat, become like PC's since they now sport Intel Processors and can run XP (unstable, but still...), they should be known as Macintels not Macintosh. Macintosh is dead. Macintels are slightly better but still waaaaaaay below the level of an average superpower PC mobile workstation one can purchase from Ebay from around $700 and will kick the bits out of any overpriced, underperforming MacBook Pro.

Macs may play a role in cropping some trailers and exporting to some QuickTime for the web, but not much more. Get your head out the sand and face the music.

In addition, mixing all these vastly different binary media monsters I've mentioned on one computer in addition to running Database servers, Internet Web Servers and other authoring tools as I do with a Dell Precision M60/2GB ram mobile workstation would basically destroy Mac. Even other flavor of PC like Linux is a lot more stable than the Mac and virtually every major big budget movie in Hollywood is done 100% in PC.

Dickkwikkwek, it is preferred by longtime Mac users; many who have become PC only power users after facing the facts. XP's NT core is brick solid and with Service Pack 2 any PC user will be dwelling complete computing heaven with iron fist security. As for media stuff, like video editing, image processing, Audio recording and editing (using huge amounts of plug-ins & mobile notebook studios) and mission critical 3D work, PC's rule with impunity.

It's easy to see why the interface of OSX is preferred if you're working with software like Photoshop. I've used Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign and Quark Xpress a lot and i prefer the OSX interface anyday over the XP one anyday. For gaming and such, PC's are better.

I don't care if you're a programmer. I've worked with both a lot and in the end it's about the end user, cause he's the one who buys it. Although XP has improved a lot in terms of stability, it still isn't as solid as OSX. I can easily imagine why companies in the film industry and digital imaging still choose mac over Windows. If you're running heavy software with huge files all day long you want the 100% stability that OSX can give you, not the 97% of XP.

Yes, XP/XP Pro = Superstability and with XP Pro SP2, we're talking "please never mention Mac around PC's". It absolutely makes no damn sense. Professionally, I've programmed with both platform API's and it's easy to see why developers don't pay attention to Macs.
