  • And here I thought ...

And here I thought you were reasonable, but you've signed on to the EVIL HELL-BOUND JEWS nonsense. There isn't peace between Jews and Muslims because people like you don't want it. Get over your hatred, then we'll talk.

  • Yusuf still markets ...

Yusuf still markets and sells ALL his old Cat Stevens songs as well as his new songs, and I don't think he's ashamed of any of them since he sang Wild World at the Live Earth concert. Maybe American Muslims are a little different than Muslims from Thailand but still love God just as much as you. If you don't like Kareem Salama's music or this video about REAL American Muslims, then please turn the channel.

  • Yusuf Islam makes ...

Yusuf Islam makes music which makes us remember God, not otherwise. That should be encouraged. Other music influnce us to forget our Creator and think more about the dunya. I don't think we would be proud to tell the Prophet (saw) that we listened to 50 Cent and Justin.

  • My idea of a ...

My idea of a perfect Muslim in the 21st Century is Yusuf Islam who has come full circle and is once again making beautiful music and songs. He is enjoying life and interacting with nonMuslims to help bridge the gap of misunderstanding between Islam and the rest of the world. In your opinion, is he now kafur because he's making music again? He is showing it is possible for all of us to coexist in peace and respect other religions.

  • I really don't ...

I really don't think this video intended to legitimize high school cheating, watch a program such as Grey's Anatomy or listening to Justin Timberlake's music. I think this video portrays the average American Muslim as the majority of them are in real life. People are not perfect and God knows this, and it's possible to love God with all your heart and have an earthly life that isn't completely devoid of any fun or other interests besides faith in Islam.

  • Did the Prophet ( ...

Did the Prophet (saw) have to adapt to the Jahili practices to be considered 'human'? No, he showed Islam as it was. So we should let it be. We Muslims are a praying, fasting, charitable machine, we don't listen to music which makes us forget God, we don't watch shows where the aurah is uncovered. That is Islam, and we are Muslims.

  • As much good as ...

As much good as this video intends, I don't think we want the next generation of Muslims cheating their way through high school while watching grey's anatomy and listening to Justin Timberlake just because we're 'human'. Why do we have to adapt to Western ideals? Is not Islam good enough already?

Well, Islam created more rights for Women than other faiths in ancient times such as the right to work, the right to own property, the right to choose who to marry, the right to inheritance...etc And was the first religion to legalize divorces.

That's a very good point. That part of the video was shocking for me too. And, if any children view this, I hope parents will handle the explaination with care.

  • Masha'Allah this ...

Masha'Allah this song and video is a wonderful expression of Islam in America. However, I feel uncomfortable that suicide was portrayed so graphically. I think it is an important topic, but should not be shown with a gun in a video I consider to be for families. Parents please preview before sharing with your impressionable children and teens.
