    I have taken water from a small water fall about 2/3 of the way up the trail. Rangers don't recomemnd it but I've never gotten sick in 12 hikes.

    I hiked that rail in the summer of 1980. I was a park employee at East Glacier Park. The one thing that wasnt mentioned is that coming down is also hard as it pulls on your calves! Thanks for posting
