God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. The heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead.The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the Lord exceedingly.Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you. For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people. If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest thou be a cursed thing like it: but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing.The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman's garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God. Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD.He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.They have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations. Now is the end come upon thee, and I will send mine anger upon thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense upon thee all thine abominations. Shall I not visit for these things? saith the LORD: and shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this? But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart .Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the Lord our God. Your sins have withholden good things from you. Shall I not visit for these things? saith the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this? A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land. Evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. Thine habitation is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know me, saith the Lord. Shall I not visit them for these things? saith the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this? Because they have forsaken my law which I set before them, and have not obeyed my voice, neither walked therein; But have walked after the imagination of their own heart: Therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will feed them, even this people, with wormwood, and give them water of gall to drink.The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness. When they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves. Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. Fear ye not me? saith the Lord: will ye not tremble at my presence? Now is the end come upon thee, and I will send mine anger upon thee, and will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense upon thee all thine abominations. Shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this? The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel...Godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of...Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.Therefore shall ye keep mine ordinance, that ye commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am the LORD your God.
