This is the so-called Lion vs Tiger fight that occur in Gir Forest, however according to some Lion experts, they think that the Lion isn't of the asiatic subspecies(There is no belly fold), instead it seems like a Transvaal Lion(South African Lion, Panthera leo krugeri).

This complete version shows that whole fight, and a very weird thing is that the Tiger fell down when the lion barely touches it, and when Lion came nearer, the supposedly dead tiger got up and attacked the Lion and chased him away.

There are rumours that the Tiger was a old tiger that was bought from a circus to be pitted into a fight with the lion because only Circus tigers know how to play dead. The tiger played dead and attack the Lion in surprise, a wild tiger have never been known to do such a thing.

Moreover tigers have never been know to live in the Gir Forest, thus how would a fight occur? And how would a Transvaal Lion be in the gir Forest? Is this gir forest at all? And there are also many camera angles which suggest that many video cameras have been placed there to purposely film this fight instead of bumping into a fight like they say on the 16mm film.

Did the tiger really die? Or is he playing dead using such tactic it learnt in the circus and applying it in a fight? Did the Lion really beat the tiger or did the Lion flee(as you can see at the end of the video video)?

It has also been said that the tiger has been shot or shot by tranquilizing dart thus it suddenly fall to the ground, but since the tranqualizer haven't taken its effect, it can still fight back until the end which the effect of the tranqualizer take its place and the tiger is captured.

  • This one of the few fights that are fair

    Like I have stated elsewhere this is a fully grown male bengal tiger and a fully grown male asian lion. This was one of the fairest fights of all time as I said in tiger territory the lion is often old, tame or drugged. Even fanatics must remember this was done to entertain a prince and in India where the tiger is considered king. The prince and most others expected the tiger to win both cats were about the same age but the tiger a little bigger, like I said the whole thing was taped and the fight was said to end by the prince involved with the lion biting the tigers back and paralyzing him. Dont let the koreans fool anyone with old and drugged lions APPEARING to lose as the Romans Koreans and most crdeible experts state the lion will win 8 out of ten fights. In the 59 pit fights 4 lions 1 and 1 tiger won in 5 fights. The Romans kept barbaries as pets and kept him as their symbol of a warrior and they would not back the loser. What the Romas said was the tiger often retreats and if forced to fight might get a few wins but the lion gets many more and the unfanatic Koreans agree with the Romans stating that the lion was found very hard to beat despite what fanatic experts deny bcos of the mane.

    a lion would most certainly win in a fight with a tiger. india`s ruler of 1905, i believe, by the name of jam sahib, witnessed four fights between lions and tigers, and on all four occasions, the lion won.

    also, studies by dunbar brander indicate tigers weigh an average of 420 lbs, on 42 fully mature male tigers measured, the same as lions.

    the lions of zimbabwe average a weight of 202 kg, based on 18 individuals weighed, by smithers & wilson.

    just being sarcastic because of this foolish sentence! unless u think there is a 10 tons tiger!?? I admire tigers and lions and I laugh at these tiger/lion debates but seriously I think it is difficult to proof the superiority of one over the other unless we have some agreed-upon measures (strength, bravery, fighting skills, agility etc..)

    it's clearly evident that the tiger dominated the whole fight. it's also clearly obvious the people filming sedated the tiger which seemed to have collapsed twice in the video at the end without any substantial blows or life-threatening bites. and the fact that the tiger was dragged away in a neck harness and him swiping at the rope suggests he was still alive. what a crock of sh*t!
