I believe a country as volotile as Iran with its plethora of extreme Imams preaching hate and destruction against another nation and whose leaders mirror such sentiments shouldn't be allowed anywhere near nuclear power let alone nuclear weapons. The US has every reason to be uneasy about Iranian nuclear ambitions as anyone in their right mind should be after the rhetoric constantly flowing from the leadership. Even Russia and China recognise Iran's motives by allowing UN sanctions.

I don't know much about Russian economy but they have a vast wealth of natural resources, oil and gas. They also have the pipelines that supply those resources through out the EU countries. So I don't think their hurting much, although not everyone gets to share the wealth. I agree, they are both defending and grabbing more via their pipeline deals, but then again, that's what this whole deal is about in the first place.
