Arnel Pineda and Journey - Edge of the Blade Live in Chile

agree, this the best rock, i mean rock, he did in his concerts (chile and lv) so far!

i love APs voice. it's surely sounds like... well i wish he evolves better than and beyond steve p. in time, yes in time. let him hone himself to full maturity. he's got edge with his high, raspy & soulful voice at par with other rock singers like chris robinson's of black crowes (also one of my few fave rock voices aside perry and eddie vedder).

myson7> i respect perry..he's an awesome entertainer..but i gotta move on..after watching him in chile, i'm hooked..i never compared him to perry..i've heard perry's version of the classic...but with edge of the blade, i am really lovin arnel's version..very different for me..just my opinion

Arnel is not bad. But he still can't touch Steve Perry (I hate to say).

Actually Arnel's version lacks the high notes that Perry's does. Don't get me wrong. Arnel is very good. Arnel may be the best that the new Journey has found so far.

Unfortunately for Arnel, Perry may very well be the greatest rock n roll vocalist of all time. He had the range, power, phrasing, everything. Noone has been able to match him yet. Not even Arnel.

wow i didnt know steve perry can jump and perform like arnel .i watched the version of SP of don't stop after watching the version of arnel in chile.well arnel just made him look like barry manillow sorry no offense.arnel "ROCKS"

Journey is the best among the best.They never stop Believin'.They now believe with AP,Hence, the JOURNEY continues....

wow..i keep comming back for this song..i watch it all the time.. watching this guy perform is like watching Michael Jordan in the NBA FINALS...thats how good this dude is..

Arnel does such a amazing job on these songs .
While i liked Augeri , Arnel just does it so much better . No question the best Journey singer since Perry .

steve can't do edge of the blade like this...his version is different.love arnel's rock version...so people who still wants to live the year of the past , they can...i'm living for the present journey....keep on rocking!!!

I second your opinion, it is a new age for Journey. I like it. let the music live.

I'm a Filipino, I'm a HUGE PERRY fan since i was 9 and I still believe Perry is better but Pineda is undeniably Very Good! He certainly made a run for Perry's money and the way Journey is right now, I believe Pineda is doing them the favor and not the other way around!

Diyos ko po! I compara naman ninyo ito sa live nung isa. Talagang may K naman itong si papa Arnel. Talagang pinipilit lang talaga ng iba na hindi makita ang totoo....haaaay, hindi ko lang to masabi kaagad kasi ang dami namang loca loca na fans yung isa (fan din ako sa totoo pero thankfully may utak pa ako). Baka mag heart attach lang sila at kung ano ano na naman ang sabihin.

Shhhh...Wag ninyong sabihin sa iba. Pero totoo naman na mas maganda talaga itong version na to. Hindi sa bias ako kasi saludo din ako sa yung isa (alam nyo na kung sino). Vlade2002... youre right. there's only one Perry, but this dude Arnel is going to be a lot better than Perry. he's got more power to on his voice and he can take it to another level without forcing anything, and hes not emulating Perry, and the one thing that sets Arnel apart from Steve is his STAGE PRESENCE. the way he's running and bouncing arround is verry energetic. watch his video in santiago,chile singing separate ways and tell me what you think..

There is only one Steve Perry and this new guy said so, he is only there to continue his legacy. Can't blame the guy, and the band when SP don't want to join them anymore.

No doubt Perry was the best during his days. But, he is on wheelchair now, getting fat.
