Others will disagree with me but $5 gas means RIGs must pay $1200 / 1400 miles. You do the math there is no way we can transport stuff at $5 a gallon for gas. Small trucking companys will go away only leaving the large companys ( and rookie drivers getting payed squat ) to haul everything. Not looking good for us.

Maybe so but Paul has no chance and is looked down on in the GOP. He would do better as a conservative Dem. Congressman, and maybe influence the party that has done much better than the Republicans in spending.
The GOP budget over the last 8 years has grown to EQUAL all that of the federal, state, and 80,000 cities of 1998, much of that from this stupid and self-destructive war.

Obama will support the wellfare state put it this way do you like having a full pay check ie work 40 hrs at 10.00 per hour= $400 check it doesnt happen does it? Obama and Mcain wont let it happen Dr. Paul will He does nit want any type of spending that the costitutiion does not allow and you would be suprised at what it does and its a very short list.

Paul is an exceptional Republican, and hated by most of his party so why stay? And all of this was pretty obvious years ago, was he speaking against Bush and Iraq then?

I think Obama is the only real choice. But the powerful like Murdoch of Fox may "let" him win because the problems [of Bush-Cheney] will be very difficult to solve.

Unfortunately what you say is true. And hes too old to run next time.
That was a great oportunity missed.
But you must admit, with all the popular media against him from the very beginning, he STILL managed to make a big impact and is 3rd out of all 10(12?) candidates from the start, thats a good record and also shows that there are many Americans that embrace wisdom and know whats good for them. There is comfort in that if nothing else.
Still, Obama, isn't a total loss either.

He won't have a chance. It will be Obama or McCain. That is the system here. It's too late for him to run as a third party candidate and he has denied that possibility all along anyway.
