Yea, Dadee is right! 7ths and 9ths. The VI-IV is the Minor 9 to the Major 9. The DVD teaches all the theory behind it. But remember how you lay your fingers and your grace notes!

one way to help with this is to remember this pattern "1, 4, 5" whatever key you play in, the one chord, the four chord, and the five chord make up the majority of the chords for those songs, everything else is filling in. for a four, six you might try the one chord over the four and the four chord over the six, and then maybe add the sevenths to those chords...just a little something i use from time to time thats very simple but sounds nice

I wonder the same thing. Good question. I would like to know that as well. If i play a six-four it doesn't sound like that. Why?

but still, how would u know what chord or what notes to put with the "6" or with the "4"..becuase even if you know key the "6" is or what key the "4" is, how would u know what chord to put wit that to make it sound good..like if you in the key of C, why wouldn't u play an A, C, and E for the 6 and an F, A, and C for the 4..of course that wouldn't sound right, but how would u know right off what keys to hit..

I have adopted the 'number' method wen jamming with my worship team, I cant wait til after a while I can sit in the crowd and quietly jesture to my keyboardist..."Play a 6....now a 4"..."Now groove baby" lol....U are absolutely Right wen it comes to building that foundation in every key.
