yes, he does this very well, yes pavarotti's is better, but there are few if noone that can match maestro Pavarotti. Bocceli and pavarotti are uncompareable

no, he can't do it as well as Pavarotti, and that's just because he is a pop-opera singer, not an opera singer.
He is one of the best pop voices ever, but not a good opera singer.
(Oh, just to tell you what i think about him, i love his songs and voice :D)

I think he does incredibly well considering he cant read music, unless they make it in brail and that can get frustrating. I think he is an angel.

Bocelli is very, very good, however he is not AS good as Pavarotti in Opera. Theres a reason they say there wont be another voice like Pavarotti's for 2 centuries,because of his booming voice,his control.

Bocelli is good,but he's still no Pavarotti, and as we know this is Pavarotti's signature.

As for Pavarottis conditions,yes his age and health problems affected him later,but he was always overweight. My Grandfather was a stand-in for him for Decades, they were good friends

valta93 and maggeo78 - You don't compare Pavarotti against Bocelli like some kind of boxing match! They bring fantastic interpretations to this classic!

Style wise, Pavarotti is the archetypal masculine specimen - control & power personified. When he unleashes it, it blows you away. Especially in his prime before his age, obesity & health problems.

Bocelli in contrast is the silky smooth Rolls Royce specimen. Less overtly masculine & in-your-face but juz as effortless/beautiful!

Yes he can sing opera. But i do hear a hint of pop singing from Bocelli.
