. Israel returned Sinaii in 1980 based on the peace treaty with Egypt in 1979
. Crossing the Suez canal and destroying Barlev defense line and keeping 10 Km of land in depth and 170 Km in width is a real victory despite the breakthrough that Israel did starting from 16 th of October,where Israel withdrew from that lands taken in the breakthrough without any withdrawal of the Egyptian troops from the lands taken on the East bank .

Sareeeee3, your knowledge of history is even worse than your English. For a start, if the Arabs won the Yom Kippur war, why did Israel not return the Sinai until the 1980's, you dumbass? Secondly, why did the Egyptian government sue for peace in the end? Maybe it was because Israeli heroes had surrounded the entire Egyptian third army, and could have wiped them out any time they wanted. That they didn't is because they are part of the civilised, democratic West, unlike the Arab world.
