Over the past six years, Families and Work Institute (FWI) has engaged in a research journey to define the elements that make up effective workplaces. Based on FWIs 2008 National Study of the Changing Workforce data, Ellen Galinsky, president of Families and Work Institute, identifies the six criteria of effective workplaces all of which benefit both the employee and the employer yielding positive work- and health-related outcomes.
