As if Ravel and that...last guy on the 20 franc note! The point is, none of these two are interesting. Least of all that 20 franc note person. France was IT before the French Revolution.

C'est très beau et raffiné, suave.
Pourtant parfois je me demande pourquoi on les fait tant "se pâmer", dans cette relecture d'une époque qui était toute de brutalité et de courage physique.

There is a beauty and simplicity the staging which is entirely engaging -I especially love the lighting (hope that frock is fire-proofed!)

NOTHING beats French and Italian music. No matter in what period of time (from Ravel to Lully and Rameau), they're music has a lyricism and comfort German, American, Hungarian, Persian, English and Russian music don't possess.

J'ai été les voir en concert trois fois et j'ai rencontré Vincent Dumestre et Brunon le Levret, c'était absolument magnifique. Claire Lefilliâtre est assez reservée donc je ne l'ai pas trop abodée, mais ... franchement ... Quels musiciens ... Divin ...

The tenor and the soprano praise the sweetness of love. Then the baritone says he was cheated on. He concludes women are false, and there is no faithful shepherdess. The couple carry on defending love, while the baritone says "Love: yuck".
The lady offers him her heart to show him love is possible. He accepts, but doubts about her faithfulness. She replies "Let's see who, of the two, will love better" Finally the three sing "How sweet it is to love, while two hearts are faithful"
