i got a question. and by the way i watched your other video on this about the all around idea of cricket.but every time someone is over, does the striker go to the other side, and does the bowler throw to what was his back side or is that the other teams batting wicket. does that make a lot of sense? if not, just dont reply, and im only talking to aussiefox, unless you have the correct answer. srry this is so long

its not throwing in the first place, and so it makes a huge difference to how fast the ball is delivered. The more momentum you get behind the ball, the faster it comes out. How far you run depends completely on the person bowling. Typically its long enough so that you accelerate all the way and hit top speed when you reach the point of delivery.

running a long distance isn't important. it help the bowler get int a rhythm, there isn't a rule it personal preferance.

Does it really help running like a really long distance when throwing a fast ball?
I don't see how running more than 10 ft. could make much of a difference.

I love cricket, for me there is nothing better than taking a week off in the summer for a 5 day test. However I love the one dayers and the 20/20 matches are fantastic. Cricket is only boring if you don't understand the rules. I have been on the edge of my seat many a time at a test, Oh god I miss England!!

there has been plenty of test matches where the last hour of the last day meant everything for the result and thats just mind blowing. and the clash of egos is something to behold in these situations.

but these are like pop music. if you really wanna go for classical music then i suggest you see some highlights of classics from yesteryears which can be found on youtube, to warm up to the game. sometimes it goes on for 5 days only to end up with a draw which is frustrating for fans. but once you understand the game you would really appreciate how the fortunes swing and it gets really exciting on the last day many a times.

:) thanks. thats generous of you. i was worried you'd come up with another argument and i'd have to come up something else lol. but seriously on the outside cricket really looks boring. besides who has got time to watch 5 days of sport. but you can watch the shorter versions of the game. theres the one day international which is still 8 hrs long but theres a new sensation these days called 20/20 which is abt 4 hours long.
