Great guitar player, of course. What I find more amazing is the quality of his compositions. They ROCK!

Sometimes when bands play a live version of a studio make, it S**ks ! It`s sometimes too fast, or maybe the sounds aren`t the same as your used to, but Rory has a way of always coming off good to his fans no matter what. All that, and he was cute too!...must be the fem side in me that made me make that last remark!

Do you find that the true masters are absolutely on fire when on stage? I think Rory is a perfect example. as good as some of his studio work was, they pale in comparison to him live. incredible stuff.

Rory Gallagher was quite possibly one of the greatest guitar players ever to live and one of the most under-appreciated. Certainly one of the top ten no matter how you judge it. I have everything Rory ever released and there is not a bad track in the bunch. But his true genius was clearly on the stage. Get yourself some live Gallagher ASAP and see for yourself that this track is not at all atypical. Walk on hot coals!

Growing up in the States in the 70's I can tell you this guy is very under-appreciated over here. Thank god for YouTube and Moonrocket for sharing this video. I know unfortunatly he's not with us anymore but man, we gotta get the word out about this guy! What a tone. Just awesome stuff!!!!!!!

Amen to the other Comments; sorry I missed Rory by a couple of days when I was in Europe back in '85; Definitely a monster guitarist that was dead way before his time.... RIP and prayers to his family for their loss, and ours.

Incredible-the fluidity of Trower and the venom of Blackmore combined-Rory was a guitar monsta!....and the tone! I'm favoriting this bad boy. Thanks for the post
