The Custodian of 'Lumpat Harimau Minangkabau'

The Lumpat Harimau(Leaping Tiger) Style of the Harimau Minangkabau systems was originally introduced to Europe by our Grand Master Pendekar Suchi Aditiyo Bangbang Matram Hanifi in the early 1970's. Grand Master Hanafi formed a small group of students some of which would later become custodians of his family's art and continue the legacy originally passed down from the great Warrior Poyang Lebeh (1610)

Lumpat Harimau Minangkabau Pencak Silat arrived in the UK in the form of the man we know as Machang Hitan(The Black Tiger) Pendekar Suchi Richard Crabbe deBordes in the early 1980's, and since this time he has taken it upon himself to propagate this fighting art throughout the world. Guru deBordes has embarked upon a journey, which has tested this art and his survival capabilities to the limit, in the area of presidential security in war torn Africa.

Currently here in the Uk we are under the careful guidance of Guru Besar Randolph Carthy(seen here) along with Pendekar deBordes and Master Edwin Chard, Australia. Both are direct decendants of the deBordes linage and original back yard combatants from the deBordes camp of the 1980's. Guru Besar Carthy has also played his part in developing the art into the combat effective fighting system that it is today and anyone who has trained with him will know that he is a true custodian of the art and a chip off of the old(Hanafi/deBordes)block.
