  • Buster Keaton gave ...

Buster Keaton gave employment to at least one other Native American...his special effects man Fred Gabouri was, I believe, a Seneca.
According to his sister, the Keaton family was also part Native American. (Buster probably hired for talent, regardless of background).

  • My dad and friends ...

My dad and friends met Thorpe in the late 30's outside a beer hall in central Oklahoma.
He was feeling no pain, but was courteous to his young fans. A great moment for my dad. He loved Thorpe.

  • ESPN has the gall ...

ESPN has the gall to rank Jim No. 7 of all-time so there will be fewer videos of him as a result.

The Decathalon is the hardest thing to do; Jim was not only the best at that but the best football player of all-time. And could also play some baseball.

For all this he got Number 7.
