haven't any of you numpties heard of TONY TRIBE, who recorded the original reggae version on TROJAN...you amateurs!! probably the sorts who think that BLONDIE did the original of 'The tide is high' before that plastic girlie group recorded it!!!

The original version of "Red Red Wine" was recorded in 1965 by Roy Drusky. Neil Diamond did write and record the song, but not until after Drusky had a big hit on it.

Neil Diamond did the original....TONY TRIBE did the original ska version and UB40 butchered it along with all their other songs.
