I produce this TV program called "House Calls with Dr. Valerie Walker" and from time to time, I get an opportunity to do something kind of fun for the show.

This animation was made with Blender3D 2.48a and some minor post work in addition to audio done in Sony Vegas Pro 8.0.

The music was produced using Sony Acid 6.0, using MusicLab RealGuitar 1.5 for guitar, Steinberg's The Grand 2.0 for piano, and ReFX Nexus 1.4 for ambient sounds. The track is based on a "Teardrop" by Massive Attack. I like creating custom tracks that 'sound like' popular songs. It's a convenient way to avoid copyright issues.

It's not much, and in my opinion the character movement leaves a great deal to be desired, but it's a close approximation of what I was shooting for.

The only visual effects I added in Vegas are the film effects, and the slight white glow. Everything else is a pure product of blender.

I would have perfected the movement if I had more time, but the show was due to air 5:30 PM today, and I ran out of time with all of my other responsibilities as production manager.

  • Wow that was both ...

Wow that was both frightening, and hilarious. And really well done. I bet given the proper time you could have made it REALLY well done. Nice work.
