  • We shot this video ...

We shot this video three times in a row to get something we all liked.

The client (Alisha) seemed very pleased with all the trap work. The technique comes from Trager, which lifts to create a sense of space in tissues.

Yep, my body mechanics could use a little work - good observations.

  • Her body mechanics ...

Her body mechanics could be better.

W the initial palm presses on the back, it's easier on wrists if you have your fingers point to the sides instead of up; she hyperextends her wrists. She should also lengthen her stance as she moves down the back, instead of bending over. As she bends & crouches, her back knee extends past her toe - can hurt the knee.

Also, notice as she works, her upper traps lift her shoulders toward her ears. I'd bet her shoulders & neck feel tight after a few sessions.

  • Good point. I ...

    Good point.

I will revamp to thumbs up for more pressure and the "okay" hand symbol for pressure that's "just right."

    Many thanks.

  • "If you want more ...

"If you want more pressure or you like what I'm doing, thumb's up" - so how would she know, from the thumb-up, whether someone liked the pressure or wanted more?

The idea of watching a massage video could relax someone.

    Thanks.
