When this song was popular in 1958 I was 5 years old, and at my grandfather's funeral I sat down on the rail in front of his casket and sang this song for the crowd. Don't remember that too clearly, but I think it went over well.

I played this on a 45 in the 50's ( maybe I was 8 -10 ? ) it reminds me of my grandma and grandpa's basement....... that and "Pepino the Italian Mouse" .....and a bunch of old 78's . I wish I understood all the words !
