u have a good opponent with a very good guard ?, then u dont have much chance to do that , so u gotta improvice and hit him in the liver and give em some hooks

i had this done to me at school, hurt like a bitch, i samcked him back with the same move and he ran to a teacher crying, i got detention, it was still good though

that is brutal but effective love it good when your in a fight where you can get badly hurt but it would take so practice to get it right

yes, go see a Marine and you will see them do it 5000 go see and Army soldier and you gonna see him do 50, what a shame

I agree with both sides, because 50 strikes should develop a fundamental knowledge of the move but keep in mind that practicing the one move has to practiced from different circumstances so that in real situations the practitioner can deal out ear strikes in all situations.

the reason it takes so long is ironing out the flaws...

you both should already know that an imperfec technique can still be easily applied to sombody who isn't expecting it, prepared for it, and has no knowledge how to deal with it...

The only reason perfect technique is necassary is simply because it improves the effectivness of the move.

To highlight this in a way you may understand...

I show a simple punch to sombody... they copy it...

Then i tell them whats wrong with it and fix the faults to a certain extent...

they repeat that say ten times.. they would have already remembered how to do it by the second time (thats how quickly it kicks in...) however their technique is far from perfect "MUSCLE MEMORY HAS REMEMBERED THE IMPERFECT TECHNIQUE"

your saying that you do 50 reps of this "wrist break" and then you've applied it effectively in a real fight???!
Yes. (actually its more like 20, far from perfect but still remembered and used.)

Like i said. if it takes anyone 5000 times to do somthing auto matically then you really should get that brain scan.
