How I miss "Big Band". And this is the most remembered classic. Today we have rap and techno and so on. Is civilization going backwards? Bring back the big bands in all their glory.

i like music from a variety of eras, i just dont like dancing to every bit of music

My step-dad got me into Glenn Miller years ago- and Artie Shaw, Red Nickels ane the Five Pennies, Benny Goodman- all the greats. *In the Mood* is my favourite.

You have a tribute band playing, guaranteed. Glenn Miller performed during World War II and died over the English Channel during the war when his small plane was lost in fog.

This is "Big Band" which is basically jazz and swing played by a larger ensemble of about 20 musicians, instead of a normal quartet or so.

the glenn miller band is performing at my high school in my little city in beaver dam, wisconsin, and the jazz band that i play first trumpet for at the school is opening for them! it's gonna be intense. i love their music!
