Sally Acorn: Warrior Princess

Oh God, I hate this thing!

This project for my digital animation class has been a huge pain in the butt for over two months. I have run into problem after problem with this film. First I have difficulty modelling Sally, then her bones don't work, then I have to create the environments, then Sally won't animate properly... and on and on...

That being said, I am extremely dissatified with this project. It's OK, but it's no where near the quality I wanted it to be. It was supposed to be epic!!

I made this from February through March. Sally herself was modelled last year. The program I used was NewTeck LightWave 3D.

The T-rex and the lizard monsters were pre-packaged models in the program, as were many of the props and landscapes. I made the stone templefront myself and it SUCKS!!

Sally Acorn is of course from Sonic SatAM. I figured that after that show went off the air and she was relegated to the comic, she set off on her own to become her own hero. She took up the popular profession of warrior princess, yada yada yada...

The animation syncs up pretty well with Gloria Gaynor's "I will Survive," which was the song I had in the project when I showed it to my LightWave class. In that context, it makes it seem that Sally is a jilted lover on a Kill Bill-style rampage against her former lovers, the lizard monsters.
