Because Obama want to give out checks to people who don't pay taxes or have a job! Sadly half of Ameirca has bought into what he's selling. He is not cutting taxes for anyone. His tax cut is check! I don't want a check, I want more of my pacycheck each week! I earned it not the govt!

why do people think that obama would be against the meaning of this song. he is a democrat and therefore has the interest of blue collar workers in his political agenda. he dosent care about race, he cares about the middle class. he wants to increase taxes on big business. he wants to take money and power from CEO's who didnt actually earn there keep but were rather born into wealthy families and therefore never had to struggle in life. obama and aaron tippen are of the same mindset.

Awesome song. I'm a blue Collar worker and this sums it up for me. I got a small 2br older condo, drive a Kia Rio,and my furniture is not even close to what you'd find in a Ethan Allen showroom but at leaste I can say I live within means and I got a little left to save at the end of the month.
