All styles are allowed in MMA. It's certain techniques and strikes that are barred. Groin shots, certain joint manipulation, certain elbow techniques, punch and kick placement, etc.

angle would outwrestle lidell yeah. Even though Lidell IS a good wrestler, angle is elite. In the UFC? Lidell would be all over him trying to punch and knee the S**t out of him. I'm a fan of angle's, but i don't even know if his level of strikes would even phase Lidell.
