This is a rare video showing David Gilmour performing There's no way out of here live from his first solo album. Enjoy...
Ha ha . . . I love BolivaroAmor's comment -----> "Kurt Rogaine"
Who the hell would bring up Cobain in a conversation about Gilmour??? Talk about tasteless!
Cobain is but a pawn in Gilmour's vision for domination. He used him and dumped him.
I've seen David twice, once with Floyd at Arrowhead Stadium in '88 & on his 2nd solo tour at Starlight Theatre in KC. Both were great shows. On his solo tour he opened Until We Sleep & during the song he did this one note lick that just sent shivers up my spine! Just blew me away! He can play ONE NOTE & smoke the competition. One of the greatest guitarists ever, thanks for posting this clip!

By actron [Affiliate User] 1201194684 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWow wtf...why am I seeing David Gilmour and Kurt Cobain being compared??? Musicians can never be compared they always offer different things.
By anduritoco2004 [Affiliate User] 1201194595 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI actually have heard that Unicorn album that has this song on it, that whole album is cool.Glad to hear somebody mention them.

By luminouswrath [Affiliate User] 1200917996 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveKirk Cobain rofl.
By cshaw419 [Affiliate User] 1200591826 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveYou need to go back to school and make an honest attempt at receiving an E-D-U-C-A-T-I-O-N.
It's just that David Gilmour fans tend to be exceptionally intelligent people and you, my dumb Yankee friend, have tarnished this comment board with your insipid comments.
My friend, you are repugnant to even consider Kurt Rogaine in the same sentence as David Gilmour.
Shame on you, you stupid American.
When did I ever say "kirk" was a better guitarist? I am just pointing out you don't know much about what you are talking about. If I had posted "Don Gimlour is better than Eric Johnson" would you have taken anything I said seriously? No. So thanks for boring me with your fan-boy bullshit, I am not going to get baited into arguing about the ranks of guitarists, if you feel their music who gives a S**t where they fall on some ego ridden fanboi's list?
By cshaw419 [Affiliate User] 1200547196 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removewtf, who the hell is kurt if talking about david?
By godzo82 [Affiliate User] 1200457084 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveShame on all of you for even typing David Gilmour and Kurt Kabangs name in the same paragraph. Kurt could not have even held the little piece of D string Gilmour cut off after winding his new set of strings. Listen to the two solos on Mother and Comfortably Numb. Those OOOZZZEEE of soul.
By Pellet99 [Affiliate User] 1200410788 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveQuit making yourself look like an idiot. Kirk isn't that big of a deal. It's not like he said Cobain was drummer for Foo Figthers or something. David Gilmour is far and above Kurt Cobain.
By AbominableHoman [Affiliate User] 1200410448 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removewell done dave ;)
By PrimeraDamita [Affiliate User] 1200341609 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveMasterfull.
By backuptongtech [Affiliate User] 1200310589 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveOuch. You're not really running on much in terms of creative rebuttals.
I mean, please, the whole getting "Kirk" and "Kurt" mixed up happened at the beginning of this conversation.
Stupid American.
all I said was you can't concider yourself such a great historian of music when you don't even know one of the more famous guitarists names of the last 20 years. "Kirk" lol.
By cshaw419 [Affiliate User] 1200195575 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveOoops, Kurt Cobain. Definitely my bad.
But unfortunately, compared to David Gilmour, Kurt Cobain is so very forgotten.
And furthermore, Cobain will be completely forgotten when Gilmour is gone. I mean, seriously, you stupid American, do you really think Cobain holds a candle to Gilmour?
Gilmour will be always remembered. Search through YouTube to prove it to yourself. Cobains three notes he learned on guitar versus Gilmour's heavenly melodies and leads.
much different sound than any of his other stuff, nice!
By starchland [Affiliate User] 1200041440 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removekurt cobain was a good musican but nothing more, david gilmour is the best guitar in the history
By GatoGilmour1987 [Affiliate User] 1200035601 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removelike you can say much, you don't even know kurt cobains name....
By cshaw419 [Affiliate User] 1200002663 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveBehold the SOUL of Pink Floyd
(and the new right hand of GOD . . . I mean, Gilmour and Jesus had a guitar duel to figure out who would occupy God's right hand . . . I just don't think Jesus lasted too long!)
Nobody agrees with it. I mean, Kirk Cobain scored higher.
Gilmour is an example of epic musicianship and one of the most original guitar players.
His four notes alone in Shine on You Crazy Diamond at the second movement of the intro brought tears to people's eyes at its simple haunting majesty.
