  • You might be ...

You might be correct....but the fact is that Tamil Nadu parties have a long ideological tradition of Anti-Brahmanism (translated as Anti Hinduism).....Therefore the salary of the priests is very low and temple wealth is not used for propagation of Hindu religion......

There is nothing which can be done about it as temple administration belongs under the state govt....

  • this is just a ...

this is just a disgrace to our government. some politicians renounce god, but that does not mean that temples deserve less attention.

we should create awareness, market and advertise the temples to create curiosity and revive interest of the people in religion.

moreover they are ancient architectural treasures that if lost once, will be gone forever.

  • we have to do ...

we have to do something about the temples of Tamil nadu.

All the people should unite and put pressure on the government to increase the temple budgets. Temples should have good transportation facilities. the dilapidated sections of temples (if any) should be rebuilt promptly.

look at the great temples of thiruvallur, thiruninravur, sholingur etc, they are all the divine brothers of Lord Venkateswara. We should do something about these temples or simply let Andhra government maintain them.

  • i am not trying to ...

i am not trying to create a divide here. I saw the Tirupati temple here on this video and i have to tell you that the Andhra government is better at preserving, developing and maintaining temples that the Tamil nadu government. There are close to 75 temples in Tamil nadu that are CLOSELY RELATED to Tirupati. The fact remains that most of these temples are poorly maintained and they do not have the fame they DESERVE.

During the partition of states in 1946-47-48, tirupati was traded for Madras.
